Dr Preeti, Baking soda is used to increase fermenting process of the dosa
batter. We may use soaked methi dana for the same purpose. Tadi or Kali is
got from the Nariyal Tree or Palm tree. It is also mixed in dosa batter to
ferment it as they have palm tree or nariyal trees grown in there homes.

Yes Chahat, hum batter main meetha soda use kar sakte hain,

Pooja, we add baking soda or baking powder to ferment it. If it has already
been fermented, there is no need to add it now. If it has not been, you may
add it and keep some hours in warm place so that it can be fermented. Dosas
are sticking to pan <- When you spread dosa batter on tawa, the tawa should
not be too hot. After spreading the Dosa, switch the gas flame on high. If
it is properly baked Dosa, it would not stick to tawa,

Mam its baking powder. Suggest me abut the consistancy of batter. My dosas
are sticking to pan. I leave the batter overnight but didnot add baking
powder. Can i add now.

rakhen aur tawa ko gile kapde se saf karake halka thanda kar len. Dosa
